Hello, and thank you for visiting CoasterQuest! My name is Walt Reiss, and I am the creator of CoasterQuest. I started this site to share some of the information about amusement rides and roller coasters that I have learned over the years in which I have been involved with the amusement industry. In 2000, I resigned my position as a MD State Amusement Ride & Elevator Safety Inspector after three years. I have also spent 6 years between two major amusement parks as an amusement ride mechanic & safety inspector. I began the in the amusement industry in 1986 as a ride operator, and gradually progressed to different positions based on my changing interests and objectives. Recently, I have traveled to over 20 parks in the US and even one in Italy for the purpose of providing to you some cool coaster products. The first product is the CoasterQuest collage poster, which is now discontinued, but I do have a few left for the seriously determined people out there. As time permits, I continue to add new information and photos to this website from my vast photo archives.
