The Yankee Cannonball was installed at
Canobie in 1936, by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company of Lansdale, PA. It is 63 feet
high and 2000 feet long. It has 2 trains, each with three cars, holding 18 people
per train. The capacity is about 900 per hour. It was originally at a park in Connecticut
and moved to Canobie Lake Park in 1936.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a whole lot of extra pictures while
in New Hampshire, sorry. They do however have another coaster. It's an Arrow
corkscrew. This is a very nicely maintained family park, located only a short distance
above the Mass/NH border, not far from Nashua, NH. (Near Boston) |
