Holiday World   "Raven"

 Santa Claus, Indiana

The Raven was built in 1995 by Custom Coasters Inc. of Ohio. It is 110 feet high, and has 2,800 feet of track. It clears 60 miles an hour, and the length of the ride is one and a half minutes. The first drop is 85 feet. One train, which seats 24 people has 6 cars and a capacity of about 700 riders per hour.
This is a great little park in the middle of rural Indiana off I-64.  It also has a waterpark with a wave pool, and various other water attractions for you and the kids. The park is well maintained and is very clean.I am told they are planning a new coaster for the 2000 season, so keep your eyes on their website for updates on that!  Give the park a call or write to them from their website for current lodging info, because there's not much around, so plan ahead.  I stayed at St Meinrad, which is close by.  It's a monestery complete with monks and all, and I think it's a cool place.  It's definately clean and also inexpensive.
